Happy Birthday You!

Boy, what a busy last few days. With a holiday and birthday all jumbled into two days, my schedule has been packed (hence the lack of blogging). But today is extra special because Ben is 29! Happy birthday hubby!

We celebrated Ben's birthday this past weekend and had so much fun. First, paintball. That's right! We adorned ourselves with layers and layers of clothing, and with paintball gun in hand and masks strapped tightly around our noggins, we ran out full force into a storm of paintballs. I am proud to say that even after years of not playing, I made a few confirmed shots and only got hit once out of about ten games. Pretty impressive if I say so myself. Ben had a great time too and though he was shot many more times than me, I blame it primarily on size. Let's just say I am a tiny target compared to most. :)

We ended the night at a local bar and with a little special help from a friend, the musician performing that night wrote a special birthday song for Ben. Hear for yourself. (Warning: not for the sensitive.)

Some of you might be asking, "Did you make a cake?" The answer: nope. Ben is an ice cream cake man and though I enjoy baking him something sweet, ice cream cakes are always disastrous for me, so Cold Stone Creamery is his personal baker each birthday.

Anyways, thanks to all our awesome friends for coming out to celebrate Ben's birthday, even more to the ones that made it to paintball and a final happy birthday to my best friend. I wish you another great year filled with happiness, laughter, great company, success and the best of everything there is in the world. Cheers!
