Ben and I went to Blue Wasabi with a couple of friends not too long ago and boy was it yummy. The restaurant was smaller than I expected, but the atmosphere was chill and very cool making it an awesome place to eat out with friends.
I, of course, can never go to a sushi place without ordering some edamame. With just the right amount of coarse salt sprinkled over the warm pods, these little guys never stood a chance.
Before our sushi came out, the waiter brought out the usual wasabi and ginger. But their wasabi was different...blue in fact! What an awesome color. Fun food...I love it.
As for the sushi, it was pretty darn good. There was not a single piece of sushi left on the plate. When is there ever leftover sushi anyways? ;o)
Lastly, we finished our meal with a few martinis that were delish!
Blue Wasabi Report Card
Atmosphere: A
A cool place that you can go to a little dressed up or in chill-mode, and televisions in all the right places to catch the games on that night.
Service: A
The waitstaff was tentative and the turnaround on food and drinks was pretty quick.
Food: B+
Don't get me wrong, the food was good...I'm only comparing it to sushi I've had elsewhere.
Drinks: A+
When you can get me to have a drink, you know it's good.
Price: B
For sushi, the price was not bad and provided a lot of options for even the most frugal person. As for the martinis, the price was a bit higher than expected, but definitely worth it since they were so good.
The Company: A++
I only surround myself with the best peeps in town. :)
Recommend: Yes!
Nothing to complain about here. My first dining experience was great!

I've been to their Scottsdale location a few times. To be honest, the drinks were my favorite part. The blue in the wasabi was fun, but it weirds me out!
