The Fab Five

Thanks to Trop50 for sponsoring my writing about fabulous bloggers. This year Trop50 is granting 50 Fabulous Wishes. Click here to enter for a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate a friend with a refreshing attitude about looking and feeling fabulous!

So what makes a fabulous blog? The blogger of course! There are so many blogs that I follow, but only a handful that I find myself waiting eagerly for a new post. Why? Because the content is so great, the photos are stunning, ideas - innumerable and the blogger exudes passion. I have five bloggers that I absolutely adore and their writing brightens up my day always.

Helene Dujardin, author of the blog Tartelette, is such a great inspiration. Her passion for food styling and photography is beautiful. Formerly a pastry chef, she has turned her love of food into a wonderful blog where she shares recipes and captures food she makes with love. She recently released Plate to Pixel: Digital Food Photography and Styling, a book I rushed to get (it will be arriving tomorrow) so I could read up on all her tips and learn how to create my own food style. Thanks for being a fab blogger!

Justin Schwartz of the blog Justcook NYC is probably one of the first blogs I began reading and he was so nice to begin following my blog as well. He is the author of a couple of great books called Veg Out Vegetarian Guide to New York City and The Marshmallow Fluff Cookbook as well as a cookbook editor and what I like to call a foodie extraordinaire. His blog is so much fun to follow because he literally shows you all the food he eats which always reminds me that I need to explore my own city more for great food. He shares all the yummy places he likes to eat, recipes and new releases of cookbooks. A definite must-read-blog.

Sharon Wee is the blogger behind Sharon Wee Creations. Of course I love her blog because she has such fabulous cake ideas, but even more so, I love her blog because she shares videos of her cake making experiences. Through good and tough times, she is able to connect with readers in a positive way that makes me go back for more updates on her creations. I'm loving that toppling cake in the photo. Always great work Sharon.

Katie Quinn Davies of What Katie Ate is a freelance commercial photographer of all things food, lifestyle and interiors. She is quite the artist behind the lens and has been able to catch the eyes of many including myself. I love her blog because it makes you feel like you are there enjoying the food with her and the fact that she shares her recipes is even better. Definitely a blogger to add to your readings if you are looking to expand into food and photography. Her pictures alone make you revisit her blog more often than any normal person should. ;)

Amanda Joy blogs over at Joy Ever After. She has quite the lovely blog which makes total sense when her goal is to "live a lovely life." I think that is spectacular! Amanda has definitely achieved a great style and eye for just about everything: packaging, crafting, branding, tablescapes, interior design and more. She is fantastic, and I predict that she will be huge in the styling world pretty soon - watch out! I love her passion for how she lives and always visit her blog to inspire myself.

So those are my fab five bloggers. Do you have bloggers that you think are fabulous?
